Fully Restored & Immaculate 1989 Austin Mini Racing Ltd Edition (1 of 169) 1275cc w/ Power Steering (One Off Fitment)

This is a completely restored and pretty much immaculate example of one of the rarer Ltd Edition Mini’s’ the Racing Flame (1 of just 167 left).  By immaculate, we mean that she is in virtually perfect condition with few signs of age, her bodywork is corrosion free with just a small amount of tiny bubbles hidden behind the rear bumper, her underside is excellent (completely restored at the time of the restoration) and her interior professionally reupholstered by the previous keeper who'm was a professional classic car upholsterer.

Driving beautifully, she has the rare, powerful and most sought after 1275cc carburettor (pre-fuel injection) 62bhp engine and even has power steering which was never offered as a factory extra and cost several thousand pounds to fit (can be turned on and off). Her engine has been professionally tuned to optimise performance, she is mechanically perfect and and is supplied with 12 months MOT.

Having owned her for nearly five years, her previous lady owner absolutely cherished this Mini having received her as a birthday gift and has only parted with her due to a house move requiring funds.

Points to Note
She is registered as a 998cc (she was a 998cc pre-restoration) and this can easily be changed with the DVLA if you wished. There was one minor advisory on the MOT and that has been rectified. 17 years ago she was involved in an accident and categorised as a C, this was in 2004 when she would have been virtually worthless due to depreciation and any minor bump would have written her off so it could have been minor. She was then fully restored, there are no signs of any damage now and she has been driving around ever since. Furthermore, what car after thirty four years of driving hasn't had a bump, whether recorded or not? Not many.

However, it is important to note that Mini's are classic cars opposed to brand new cars, classic cars will have wear and tear on all parts opposed to being built to a new standard and accordingly they  will require ongoing maintenance and we cannot be held liable for any ongoing maintenance after the time of the sale. That being said, we have a dedicated phone line to assist you in maintaining your Mini and sourcing replacement parts.
