1979 Austin Morris Mini - Beautiful Condition, Very Special & Original, Owned 39 Years, Just Two Previous Owners, Everything has Been Saved
 
Being owned, driven and obviously cherished for 37 years by Mrs P since 1981, this could be one of the most original and unmolested examples that you will find, an example where nearly every piece of paperwork has been saved throughout 40 years and an example that is just in beautiful, pretty much original condition.
 
A little more about her history; the Mr Ivan Cox of Abingdon purchased her on the 18th of May 1979 and used her for two years before selling her to Mrs Patricia Duncan (Mrs P). The sale was made via a local dealership called Gowrings Ltd of Abingdon. Mrs P purchased her on the 8th of July 1981 for £1763.50 which included six months road tax and she would then own and drive her for 37 years, saving just about every single document until her sad passing in 2018. From this point our client Mr Filce put her into storage. We don't think you will find a nicer, more original or loved example.
 
Her history folder is around two inches thick and includes what appears to be every document dating back to 1981. She retains her original factory fitted matching numbers engine which is beautiful and has been properly maintained. She is HPI clear, mechanically perfect and just ready to enjoy with a fresh MOT, despite being MOT & Tax exempt which will save you money. Obviously she will have signs of age being a classic car, but she must be one of the best examples. Please see the videos and extra photographs below.

  • We guarantee that your Mini will be mechanically perfect at the time of the sale. Mechanically perfect means that your Mini will be roadworthy with a recent MOT, that everything on your Mini will work correctly and that your Mini will be ready to enjoy.

     

    However, it is important to note that Mini's are classic cars opposed to brand new cars, classic cars will have wear and tear on all parts opposed to being built to a new standard and accordingly they  will require ongoing maintenance and we cannot be held liable for any ongoing maintenance after the time of the sale. That being said, we have a dedicated phone line to assist you in maintaining your Mini and sourcing replacement parts.
