Classic 1995 Rover Mini 1275cc Sportspack - Exceptional Condition, Low Mileage, Owned Nine Years & Very Much Loved
This is an exceptional example of a classic Mini, she has beautiful bodywork, a solid and very well preserved underside and a colour coded reupholstered interior. Her 1275cc engine and gearbox are excellent, she’s low mileage and comes fully serviced, with a recent MOT and being professionally tuned with reconditioned brakes. She has been upgraded with the Rover Heritage Design Pack and the Sportspack (originally she is a Sprite), giving her that iconic styling, We can’t say anything negative about this example, it’s very nice. The most remarkable thing about her is her history, this isn’t a restored example, this is possibly one of the most loved Mini’s you’ll encounter, owned by Mr and Mrs Needham, now in their eighties. Below is her story.(a) Her Owner
Now in their eighties, Mr and Mrs Needham fell in love with this Mini nine years ago when taking their old battered Mini to a well known Mini Specialist. Ever since she has been Mr Needham's daily, covering a mere 200-400 miles per year. When I complimented her briliant bodywork, he described to me how she had never been out in the rain in his ownership and how he would get her home and just polish her, never using water to wash her. Unfortunately Mr Needham’s health has recently taken a tumble, he can no longer drive her and he asked us to find her a new home which was an emotional moment.
(b) Exceptional Bodywork
Her bodywork is very nice, see the photographs, It’s just beautiful and I can’t see any rust. Underneath she is very original, very nicely preserved. Under her carpets, three or four of the internal floors are like new, one has a small historic weld to maintain solidity.(c) Reupholstered Interior
Being a 1995, she has the wider, higher quality and comfier seats, with proper bolsters and manoeuvrability to access the rear seats, making her much comfier and more useable. Being fully reupholstered and colour coded, she's cool and eclectic. The re-upholstering was carried out before Mr Needham's ownership and does have some small marks.(d) Beautiful Engine and Gearbox
Having covered a mere 58,000 miles, she drives beautifully, her engine and gearbox are perfect. She comes with a recent MOT and no advisories so that you can have peace of mind. Her engine and gearbox have been fully serviced (Millers classic Mini Oil, NGK spark plugs and Silicone HT leads) so that you have nothing to worry about. Furthermore, her brakes have been fully reconditioned and her carburettor has been professionally set up, to optimise performance.
Being just 600-700kg and bragging the sought after 1275cc engine she has that iconic terrific and/or terrifying, rally winning performance and handling. Originally she had injection fuelling, however she has been converted to carburettor fuelling, giving her that classic sound, smell and feel as well as tuning scope. For reference, the 1275cc produced approx 30% more power than the 1000cc, giving you a lot more performance.
(E) Exterior Specification
Having been retro-fitted with the Sportspack, she has wider arches and large 13” chrome wheels, giving her that awesome stance and super wide width to height ratio. The Sportspack also improves grip and handling. Fitted with the Rover Heritage Design Pack, she has chrome overriders, bars, the wavy grill and chrome spotlights. Rover produced these extras at a great additional expense, the Heritage Pack was in homage and tribute to the early 60’s Monte Carlo winners.(F) General Condition
Being HPI clear, there is no history of accidents. Otherwise, I think you would be hard pushed to find a nicer example. She will soon celebrate her 30th birthday and will of course have wear and tear from a life lived, but she’s in beautiful condition, owing to Mr and Mrs Needham's loving ownership.
Accordingly, she’s just a really nice example, with a fantastic 1275cc engine and gearbox, her bodywork is excellent, as is her underneath, she’s prepped and ready to go. She’s been the pride and joy of Mr and Mrs Needham, now she needs a new loving home.
