1992 Rover Mini 1275GT Custom Cafe Racer Recreation
Recreating the infamous 1275GT, she’s fitted with this beautiful matching numbers 1275cc classically carburettor fuelled engine, producing that iconic roar. Such engine has been professionally tuned to optimise her power output, matching a high power to weight ratio with that iconic classic Mini rally winning handling to create a terrific and/or terrifying drive.
Designed as a custom cafe racer, bringing together all the best bits, this is an awesome Mini that the previous keeper spent nine years restoring. Outside she combines the iconic Rover Nightfire Metallic Red colour scheme against a diamond white roof with those brand new chrome thirteen inch Supalite super wide wheels and all the extras including chrome overriders, Jewel headlights, dummy twin tanks etc etc.Inside she combines the carbon Cooper Sportspack dash with the white six gauges with the red leather and the Subaru WRX bucket seats.
Originally she was a round nose, however a light weight fibreglass front has been added.She is supplied with 12 months MOT, fully serviced (engine, carburettor and brakes inc. new Cooper S discs), ready to enjoy.
Celebrating her 31st birthday recently and being a classic Mini, she has some small marks here and there and a small 5p sized blister just below her rear windscreen. During the restoration she had her gauges upgraded to the MPI Sportspack triple gauge and accordingly we’re advised that she sits at around 83,000 miles (albeit she reads 27,000), otherwise she is HPI clear.
